Total Steel Shipments from Ports Nationwide Reach 8.6758 Million Tonnes, Up 15% Month-on-Month

According to SMM, the total steel shipments from ports nationwide amounted to 8.6758 million tonnes, representing a month-on-month increase of 1.1295 million tonnes or 15%. Among these, the six major northern ports (Jingtang Port, Caofeidian Port, Bayuquan Port, Tianjin Xingang Port, Huanghua Port, and Jinzhou Port) dispatched a total of 3.49 million tonnes, up 0.5201 million tonnes month-on-month, accounting for 40% of the total shipments. The three major ports in East China (Shanghai Port, Zhangjiagang Port, and Lanbei Port) dispatched a combined total of 0.588 million tonnes, down 0.2037 million tonnes month-on-month, accounting for 7% of the total shipments. The two major ports in South China (Zhanjiang Port and Fangchenggang Port) dispatched a total of 0.4071 million tonnes, a slight decrease of 0.0021 million tonnes month-on-month, accounting for 5% of the total shipments.
