C (Carbon) is the second most significant element after iron, directly influencing steel’s strength, plasticity,…
The head of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology revealed at the 2023 Industrial Green Development Conference held in Guangzhou on June 1 that China’s industrial green development has achieved positive results, with the digital transformation to promote the optimization and upgrading of industrial structure, industrial energy consumption has decreased significantly, and the efficiency of energy and resources utilization has continued to improve.
At present, China has built more than 2,500 digital workshops and smart factories, which has significantly enhanced the iteration speed and delivery capacity of industrial products such as automobiles and home appliances, and greatly improved the safety and green development level of process industries such as steel and petrochemical.
Statistics show that in 2022, China’s high-tech manufacturing industry and equipment manufacturing industry accounted for 15.5% and 31.8% of the planned industry, respectively, an increase of 6.1 and 3.8 percentage points over 2012. From 2012 to 2022, the cumulative energy consumption per unit of value added of industrial enterprises above designated size will be reduced by more than 36%. The energy efficiency of steel, primary aluminum, cement clinker and other unit products is at the world’s advanced level. The global output of the main links of the photovoltaic industry chain accounted for more than 70%, and the supply capacity of green products was significantly enhanced.
Xin Guobin, Vice Minister of Industry and Information Technology :
Accelerate the digital transformation of manufacturing processes. We will drive the transformation of production methods through digital transformation, promote 5G, big data, artificial intelligence and other new generation information technologies, improve energy, resources, and environmental management, and empower green manufacturing.
According to the just released White Paper on Industrial Green Development, by the end of April 2023, a total of 3,616 green factories, 267 green industrial parks and 403 green supply chain management enterprises had been created at the national level. The overall energy consumption level of green factories is better than the benchmark level of energy efficiency, and the average utilization rate of solid waste disposal in green industrial parks exceeds 95%.
Liu Wenqiang, Party Secretary of China Electronic Information Industry Development Institute:
Digital and intelligent green development are gradually integrated, and by the end of 2022, the CNC rate of key processes and the penetration rate of digital R & D and design tools of industrial enterprises in the country will reach 59% and 77% respectively.
Local governments are actively promoting the construction of green manufacturing and service systems
At present, all localities are comprehensively promoting green manufacturing, building a modern manufacturing model with low consumption, low emission, high efficiency and high efficiency, and jointly promoting carbon reduction, pollution reduction, green expansion and growth, so as to achieve coordinated optimization of economic, ecological and social benefits.
In a laboratory in Huiyang, Guangdong province, technicians show us how to turn industrial waste water into treasure. The industrial waste sulfuric acid produced in the pickling process of steel contains heavy metals such as chromium-nickel, which is harmful to human health. After half an hour of impurity removal treatment, the dark industrial sewage becomes a clear liquid.
